Who is wario to mario
Luigi was first introduced as Mario's green-suited brother in Mario Bros. That arcade game eventually became Super Mario Bros.
Mario and Luigi even share the last name "Mario" according to the much-maligned Super Mario Bros. Wario originated in Mario's second Game Boy outing as the villain. According to Super Mario Land 2 's backstory, Wario is Mario's childhood acquaintance, and the two have never been portrayed as blood relations despite their similar appearance. Wario's similarity to Mario instead stems from the developers of Super Mario Land 2 's discomfort with making Mario games according to a now-archived article on kombo since a different division of Nintendo was behind the NES originals.
This is why Wario eventually took over the series, becoming an antihero with his own cast of characters in both the Wario Land and WarioWare franchises.
Like Wario, Waluigi is also an old adversary of the Mario Bros. However, unlike Mario and Luigi, Waluigi is also just a friend of his partner in crime Wario.
Mario is a dud. He has no personality outside of his career. He takes a green pipe from one world to the next, stealing all the gold while slaughtering every Goomba in his way. With years of design experience separating the creation of Mario and Wario, Nintendo stuffed their yellow-and-purple avatar with the personality Mario should have had all along.
Wario is presented as the anti-Mario, a sophomoric id that loves to belch, steal, and generally menace everyone around him. But is that not just a description of Mario? Mario has just as much of an affinity for collecting coins, and equally murderous tendencies on display every time he breaks the spines of his unsuspecting victims. What little backstory Mario had came from Super Mario Bros. He is an Italian plumber with an easy smile and a penchant for silence.
As a reward for Wario's rescue, the old man brought him back to his world and gave Wario's treasures. Princess Shokora transformed from a cat to her true identity. Wario was reading a newspaper article on a discovered legendary Golden Pyramind where Princess Shokora ruled but was cursed in her sleep by the Golden Diva.
Hearing this, Wario was thinking about money forgetting to nap in the middle of the morning. Wario rode on his car to the pyramid. Arriving at the pyramid, Wario found the black cat that leads him deeper into the hole. Wario came through five passages approaching the Golden Diva. Golden Diva had trapped the black cat inside herself and proceeded to fight Wario. Golden Diva had vanished and Wario retrieved the treasure, including the pyramid sinking. Wario and the black cat escaped from the pyramid and watched the pyramid sink.
The five treasures of Golden Diva changed the black cat bak to Princess Shokora. She thanked Wario and was peacefully taken with the angels.
Wario brought his treasure to the car and returned home. Attention MarioWiki users! Whether you are commenting or editing, we would appreciate it if you help MarioWiki by expanding it. Wario is always classed as a heavyweight in the Mario Kart games following Super Mario Kart in which he didn't appear. In Mario Kart Wii it has changed to yellow in the light of his hat color. He is a heavyweight racer again and is now an unlockable racer for the first time in the Mario Kart series.
Wario has been in the Mario Party series since the first game and has played a large role in the series. Wario's color is purple, and in Mario Parties his sleeves are long, but in the rest, they are short. This starts the argument that develops the party. Wario introduced Waluigi to the rest of his "pals" in Mario Tennis. Later, he introduced Waluigi once again in Mario Party 3.
In that game, Wario's battle partner is a Bob-omb. Wario is also revealed to have a "secret friend" bond with Toadette. Wario was a newcomer in Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii. His attacks are mostly from WarioWare. In Super Smash Bros. Here is his moveset:. Wario has also been seen in the South Park Imaginationland trilogy as one of the many villains fighting against the heroes. However, Wario has a "V" instead of a "W" on his hat and gloves.
Non-canon warning : Non-canonical information ends here. Wario and Mario have been rivals since their first encounter. Wario often tries to hinder Mario's progress whenever the plumber gets in his way.
In Mario Super Sluggers , he and Waluigi tried to kill Mario with a Bullet Bill , only to be stopped by Bowser , who wanted to kill his hated enemy himself. In the official Super Mario Adventures Comics, however, Mario has unintentionally "bullied" Wario when they were young, which explains Wario's deep hatred for his rival. However, Wario and Mario do tend to get along with each other in some games. In the Mario Party series , Wario is often an ally of Mario. Another example of the two workings together is shown in Super Mario 64 DS where they both went to Princess Peach's Castle though, it is likely that he was not doing it for Mario or the Princess.
Wario and Waluigi are shown to be the best of friends and are often seen in mainly shown in games like Mario Power Tennis and Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour where they often cause mischief to others. It should be noted that Waluigi generally appears in a game if Wario is around, except in the Wario franchise where he has yet to appear.
Despite Mario and Luigi being brothers, Wario and Waluigi are not related, and instead work as partners in crime. Mona is Wario's love interest from WarioWare, and he is stricken with her. In WarioWare Gold , she plans for the "perfect dress" for the party. She even mentioned the dress to be "cool like Wario" and referred to him as her "fashion icon".
